Credit Legal Analyst

We are looking to hire a Credit Legal Analyst to join our Credit Investment Team. You will work directly with the Credit Portfolio Manager who will provide mentorship, development opportunities, and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct deep industry research and analysis, and execute company and sector level financial analysis and due diligence
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate management teams and sell side analysts
  • Evaluate high yield and leveraged loan investments
  • Maintain a strong understanding of bond and loan indentures
  • Make trade recommendations

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High performer, with 3+ years of legal experience focusing on leveraged finance transactions
  • Strong academic record, with a well-rounded and solid record of achievement
  • Experience working directly on bond indentures
  • Highly motivated, organized, detail oriented and proactive
  • Strong work ethic, with proven ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues in a professional manner; sound judgement; intellectual curiosity

Location: New York 

Compensation: Polar’s total compensation package includes base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. In accordance with New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $225,000. The actual base salary pay will depend on several factors, including, but not limited to, the individual’s experience level, the qualifications they bring to the role, business needs, and market demand.
