Manager, Reliability at Polaris Laboratories

Randy Clark has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Randy has been working at POLARIS Laboratories since 2012, where they started as the West Territory Sales Manager and promoted to Mining Program Manager, Technical Business Consultant, and currently serves as the Manager of Reliability. In these roles, they have been instrumental in helping businesses achieve maintenance goals and maximize the value of their fluid analysis programs.

Prior to joining POLARIS Laboratories, Randy worked at AngloGold Ashanti from 2000 to 2012. Randy held positions such as Business Improvement Team Leader, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Coordinator, Senior Planner, and Lead Mechanic. During this time, they were responsible for implementing major business improvement initiatives, overseeing mobile maintenance planning, ensuring quality component rebuilds, and conducting timely scheduling of maintenance activities.

Before their employment at AngloGold Ashanti, Randy worked as a Maintenance Manager at ASAP Companies from 1993 to 2000, where they oversaw the preventative maintenance and repair of road maintenance equipment. Randy also served as the Heavy Equipment Shop Foreman at Cowen Crane & Transportation from 1991 to 1993, where they managed the maintenance of heavy haul transportation equipment.

Randy's work experience also includes a successful tenure in the U.S. Army from 1982 to 1991, where they held the position of Platoon Sergeant and Motor Sergeant. During this time, they supervised personnel and managed a fleet of heavy equipment track and wheel vehicles.

Throughout their career, Randy's accomplishments have been recognized through awards and achievements, including Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medals, Good Conduct medals, Overseas Service Ribbons, and certificates of achievement.

Randy Clark has a background in diesel mechanics technology, marine and utility vehicle repair, and reliability analysis. Randy attended Lincoln Technical Institute for Diesel Mechanics Technology/Technician, although the specific dates are unknown. From 1978 to 1982, they studied marine and utility vehicle repair at North East Oakland Vocational Education. Randy also attended Oxford High, but the field of study is unspecified.

In terms of certifications, Randy obtained the OMA-I (Oil Monitoring Analyst Level 1) certification from the Society of Tribologist & Lubrication Engineers (STLE) in October 2012. Randy acquired the MLA III (Machinery Lubricant Analyst Level 2) certification from the International Council Machinery Lubrication (ICML) in June 2006. Additionally, they earned the CRL (Certified Reliability Leader) certification from the Association of Asset Management Professionals in December 2019. Lastly, Randy obtained a second MLA III certification from the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML) in October 2018.
