James Choi

James Choi's work experience includes holding the role of Chief Financial Officer at Polaris Real Estate Partners starting in August 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Kilroy Realty Corporation as Vice President in Construction & Development Accounting from February 2022 to July 2023, Senior Director in Construction & Development Accounting from February 2019 to January 2022, and Director in Development Accounting from October 2014 to January 2019. James also worked as a Controller at Ohana Real Estate Investors from November 2011 to August 2014, Controller - Assistant Vice President at Inland Real Estate Development Corporation from February 2008 to October 2011, Controller at Kenar Homes from February 2004 to January 2008, Senior Auditor at McGladrey & Pullen from December 2001 to January 2004, and Staff Accountant at Corbett, Duncan & Hubly, P.C. from January 2000 to November 2001.

James Choi completed their undergraduate studies at Illinois State University from 1995 to 1999, majoring in Accounting and receiving a Bachelor of Science degree. James also holds certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor (Inactive) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., and as a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive) from the Illinois Board of Examiners.
