Rayna Lesser Hannaway

Rayna Lesser Hannaway is the Head of Team, Portfolio Manager & Analyst for Small Company Growth at Polen Capital. Prior to this, they served as Managing Director for Golden Seeds, an angel investor focused on funding and advising early-staged ventures with an emphasis on companies with female founders and those with women in C- Level positions. Before that, they were with RHK Property Management & Design, LLC.

Lesser Hannaway began their career in finance at Fidelity Investments in February 2005 as a Portfolio Manager. In this role, they managed concentrated, sector-specific portfolios in the technology, telecommunications, and consumer sectors as part of Fidelity’s multi-manager efforts. Rayna employed a Growth At A Reasonable Price style with a disciplined approach to risk management and portfolio construction.

During their time at Fidelity Investments, Lesser Hannaway achieved considerable outperformance for the 4 years ending September 2012 with 4106 bps. outperformance in technology (156.68% SMCOPIT vs. 115.62% RTY TECH) and 2380 bps outperformance in telecom (81.36% SMCOPTEL vs. 57.56% RTY TELECOM) during a period when GARP style was in favor.
