Jacopo Barigazzi

Jacopo Barigazzi is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in foreign policy, defense, and migration issues, currently serving as a Senior Defense Correspondent and Senior Diplomatic Correspondent at POLITICO Europe since March 2015. Previously, Barigazzi held positions as a freelance columnist for The National, contributor for Il Sole 24 Ore, and deputy editor at Pagina99. Barigazzi co-founded the award-winning investigative online newspaper Linkiesta and worked as a special correspondent for Newsweek, covering significant political events in Italy. Early career highlights include roles as a business reporter for Adnkronos and Thomson Reuters, as well as an assistant producer for CNBC Europe. Barigazzi holds an MA in Journalism from City, University of London, and an MA in Philosophy from Università degli Studi di Milano.
