Mark Dekan

Mark Dekan is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within major media organizations. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at POLITICO since September 2022, Mark has previously held significant positions including Chief Engagement Officer at Ringier Axel Springer Polska from August 2014 to September 2022 and Chief Executive Officer at Ringier Axel Springer Media AG from July 2010 to September 2022. Mark also served as Chief Financial Officer at Ringier Axel Springer Media AG and as Commercial Director Finance & Services at Axel Springer AG between June 2008 and June 2010. Earlier in their career, Mark was the Group Finance Manager at PIN Group AG and Head of Group Financial Reporting at LOGWIN AG. Mark Dekan earned a Master's degree in Internationale Betriebswirtschaft from the University of Vienna between 1996 and 2001.
