Luke Oleson has a strong background in software engineering, with experience at several notable companies. Luke is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Polygon.io since 2023. Prior to this, Luke worked at Dapper Labs where they held the position of Software Engineer II from August 2021 to April 2023. In this role, Luke was responsible for the maintenance and development of a Golang based microservice platform, utilizing technologies such as GraphQL, gRPC, and Kafka. Luke also designed and implemented event-driven and microservice patterns.
Before joining Dapper Labs, Luke worked at Flyt as a Software Engineer from September 2020 to August 2021. Here, they played a key role in building Point-of-Sale integrations in an event-driven microservice architecture on AWS. Luke contributed to the development of the "Meal Prep" feature, which enabled estimates of when food is ready for pickup by drivers. Additionally, Luke developed a Go script that significantly reduced debugging time for the Tech-Ops team.
Luke's earlier experience includes a role as a Developer at Traction on Demand from August 2018 to September 2020. Here, they designed and developed a payment processing integration for Greenpeace, as well as led the development of a Salesforce app used to generate tax receipts for non-profits. Luke also contributed to a pro-bono project between Salesforce and Not Impossible Labs, which aimed to provide donated food to food-insecure people via text message.
Luke Oleson completed an Associate's degree in Computer Science at Langara College from 2015 to 2017.
