Tyler Hinman

Tyler Hinman has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tyler currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Pomelo, Inc. starting in 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Director of Communications at San Francisco City Football Club, a volunteer position where they oversaw social media and other communications. Tyler also served on the Members Board of Directors for the club. Starting in 2019, they worked as a Software Engineer at Vouch Insurance, where they wrote and maintained TypeScript logic and back-end Rails modules. Tyler also worked on miscellaneous projects involving Python, Vue, S3, Snowflake, etc. Tyler had a long tenure at Lumos Labs (Lumosity), where they served as a Software Engineer and Game Designer from 2011 to 2019. Tyler also contributed as a Crossword Constructor for AVCX (formerly American Values Club), The Onion, and CrosSynergy Syndicate. In addition, Tyler had experience as a Tools Developer at Google from 2008 to 2011. Tyler began their career as a Bond Trader at Darwin Capital Trading, where they electronically traded spreads on US Treasury and Eurodollar futures. However, they admit to not being very successful in this role and does not plan to return to the trading industry.

Tyler Hinman attended TASIS The American School in England from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained a high school diploma. Subsequently, from 2002 to 2006, they pursued their bachelor's degree in Information Technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
