Dr Elizabeth Wala

Dr Elizabeth Wala has a wealth of experience in the healthcare sector. From 2016 to 2021, they were the Proprietor of Nyarai Homecare and from 2018 to 2021, they were the Vice Chair of the Kenya Healthcare Federation. In 2019, they became the Co Chair of the SDGs Kenya Forum and in 2020, they were appointed as a Board Member of IndyGeneUS AI and Director of the Board of Directors of Ponea Health. In 2021, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Beyond The Stethoscope and Chief Visionary Officer of Wanderlust Diaries Ltd. Finally, in 2022, they were appointed as Global Practice Specialist, Health Systems Strengthening and Resilience at Options Consultancy Services and Strategic Advisor at Sisu Global.

Dr Elizabeth Wala has a diverse educational background. Dr Elizabeth earned a Certificate from the University of Washington in 2018 in Economic Evaluation of Global Health. From 2008 to 2011, they earned a Masters of Science in Infectious Diseases from the University of London. From 1996 to 2002, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Nairobi. Dr Elizabeth also earned an MBChB in Medicine from the University of Nairobi.
