Yihong Qi

Yihong Qi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Yihong is currently the Co-Founder of Pontosense, a position they assumed in April 2021. Prior to this, they served as an Investor at Mercku starting in 2017. In 2011, Yihong became the Chairman of the Board at DBJ Technology Co. Ltd. Yihong also co-founded General Test Systems Inc. in 2012. Yihong Qi held the positions of Chairman of the Board & Co-Founder at Linke Technology in 2020. From 2000 to 2015, they were a Co-Founder & CTO at Enice Holding Company Limited. Yihong Qi co-founded Sunway Communication in 2006 and served as its Co-Founder until 2011. In 1995, they joined BlackBerry as the Director of Advanced Electromagnetic Research, a role they held until 2010. Yihong Qi began their professional career as an Associate Professor at Southeast University from 1992 to 1993.

Yihong Qi began their education in 1982 at the China Academy of Space Technology, where they pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Yihong completed their degree in 1985.

Next, from 1986 to 1989, Yihong Qi attended Xidian University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microwave Engineering.

Following this, from 1990 to 1992, Yihong Qi pursued a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Southeast University.

From 1993 to 1995, Yihong Qi continued their Post Doctoral Fellowship at McMaster University.

Additionally, Yihong Qi has obtained various certifications and achievements. These include more than 500 issued and pending invention patents and more than 130 peer-reviewed academic papers, obtained through the USPTO and Chinese Patent Office in 1994. Yihong is also a contributor to CTIA and 3GPP Standards, although the year of obtaining this certification is not specified.
