George Shao

George Shao is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment banking and strategic planning. Currently serving as Senior Director of Financing, Investment & Strategy at Pony.ai since March 2020, George leads capital raising initiatives and investment strategies, overseeing significant projects including Series C+ and Series D rounds, as well as key investments in companies like Moore Threads and OnTime. Prior experience includes a role at RBC Capital Markets within the Mergers & Acquisitions Group, where George contributed to the largest global deal of 2019 and participated in numerous high-profile transactions across various industries. Previous positions at Duff & Phelps and Macquarie Group solidified George's expertise in financial advisory services. George holds a dual-degree BS in Computer Science and Finance from Lehigh University.
