Melissa Bruner

Melissa Bruner has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Melissa is currently working at Populus Financial Group as the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Risk Management at the same company from April 2020 to June 2021.

Melissa also has experience as an MCAT Test Instructor at Kaplan, where they provided personalized instruction and study plans to students and received exceptional teacher evaluations.

Melissa worked as a Financial Manager and Analyst at UPMC Health Plan, where they organized budgets, managed inventory, and introduced new ideas for social media integration with healthcare plans.

In a short stint as a Business Management Consultant at Talk, Melissa was responsible for organizing and managing a pilot program, analyzing budgets, and regulating documents.

Lastly, they worked as a Research Assistant at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, where they designed and executed experiments with cancer cells and achieved a publication in the International Journal of Cancer.

Melissa Bruner completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University from 2005 to 2009. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Health Care Policy and Management at the Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy from 2009 to 2010.
