Janiella C. Shirley

Janiella C. Shirley currently serves as Senior Director & Counsel for the Insurance division at Porch Group, leading the Legal and Compliance team and advising executive leadership on growth initiatives and risk mitigation. Previously, Janiella held the position of Associate General Counsel at USAA, where extensive regulatory experience included developing strategies for emerging risks and successfully navigating regulatory inquiries. Janiella's background also features roles as a Trial Attorney at Liberty Mutual Insurance, handling complex insurance defense cases, and as a Prosecutor for the City of Austin, where over one hundred cases were tried. Educational qualifications include a J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University, among other degrees in business management.
