Product Development Engineer - Custom Products at Porex

Patrick Niemczyk has a diverse work experience in various industries. Patrick started their career as a General Service Technician at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 2013. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Computer Aided Design Engineer at Exlterra®, where they operated CNC Milling and CNC Plasma Cutting machinery while creating and maintaining technical documents for company technologies. Patrick then advanced to the position of Product Development Engineer at Exlterra®, where they were involved in analyzing and reporting results from research projects, as well as educating new shop members on machinery operation. In 2017, they became a Senior Product Development Engineer and Marketing Specialist at Exlterra®, leading the design and creation of marketing materials, the company website, and internal and external product videos. In 2020, Patrick joined ElringKlinger as a Product Engineer in R&D for Specialty Gaskets, where they developed cost-effective gasket solutions and supported cross-functional teams to address plant issues and improve customer relationships. Currently, they are working as a Product Development Engineer - Custom Products at Porex, responsible for new and existing product development, project management, and communicating with customers to establish design criteria and requirements using CAD software for modeling and drawings.

Patrick Niemczyk attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn from 2012 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their academic degree, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from ExcelerationPRO in September 2021.
