Martine Coblentz has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Martine currently works at the Port of Portland as a DEI Director since May 2023. Prior to that, they served as the County Equity and Inclusion Officer at Clackamas County from July 2020 to May 2023. Martine was also a Committee Member for Equity at Metro from August 2017 to July 2021 and served as the Equity and Organizational Culture Manager at Multnomah County from November 2019 to July 2020.
Martine's earlier experiences include working as a Mediator/Facilitator at Clackamas County, Resolution Services from October 2012 to November 2019. In this role, they were trained as a community and family mediator and served on the diversity, equity, and inclusion council as co-chair. Additionally, they worked as a Trainer and Consultant, providing training, coaching, and consulting on building a culture of belonging, conflict management, and a cooperative workplace from June 2012 to October 2019.
Before that, Martine served as a Cultural and Linguistic Specialist at Wraparound OR: Early Childhood from January to June 2011 and as a Family Team Facilitator at Wraparound Oregon from August 2007 to January 2011.
Martine Coblentz completed their Bachelor's Degree in Adult and Organizational Development from Temple University from 2000 to 2004. They then pursued a Master's Degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at Portland State University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008.
