Skylar Belden

Skylar Belden has a diverse work experience background. Skylar started as a Student Ambassador at People to People Student Travel in 2014, where they traveled to England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, engaging with different cultures while earning high school credits. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Team Lead at Saxbys. In 2020, Skylar worked as a Freelance Writer for Shared Planet. In 2021, they were a Communications Intern at Global Ties U.S., where they created impact reports, managed website content migration, and facilitated networking sessions with foreign diplomats. From 2022 to 2023, Skylar was an Operations Intern at the San Diego Diplomacy Council, supporting public diplomacy efforts and handling data collection and organization for various reports. Skylar is currently a Marketing Communications Intern at the Port of San Diego. Alongside their work experience, Skylar is obtaining a Master of International Affairs from the University of California's School of Global Policy and Strategy.

Skylar Belden has an impressive education history. From 2017 to 2021, Skylar attended Penn State University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies, German, and Global and International Studies. In 2020, Skylar studied Berlin Metropolitain Studies at IES Abroad. Continuing with their academic pursuits, Skylar attended the University of California from 2022 to 2024 and furthered their education by obtaining a Master of International Affairs degree with a focus on International Development and Non-profit Management.

Alongside Skylar's formal education, they have also pursued additional certifications. In February 2019, Skylar earned the ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification from ServSafe Certified. In June 2023, Skylar completed various courses, including "Learning PowerPoint 2021" and "PowerPoint Tips and Tricks" from LinkedIn. Additionally, in May 2023, Skylar completed the "SharePoint Online Essential Training: The Basics" course, also from LinkedIn.
