Amer Javed

Amer is the Vice-President of Finance at Portage Ventures. Prior to joining Sagard, Amer served as the Vice-President of Finance at Tangerine Bank (formerly ING Bank of Canada) and as the Chief Financial Officer of Tangerine Investment Management Inc. and Tangerine Investment Funds Limited. Amer brings deep expertise in designing, building and implementing effective, efficient and scalable Finance department work-flow procedures, controls, policies and systems. Amer is an alumni of KPMG and graduated from the University of Toronto with a bachelor of commerce degree with a specialization in accounting and a major in economics.
