Stan Polyakov, Ph.D.

Stan Polyakov, Ph.D., has extensive work experience in data science, machine learning, and analytics. Stan currently serves as the Principal Engineer - Data Science & Machine Learning at Instabee, where they lead a team of 20+ professionals in driving data-driven insights and implementing machine learning algorithms across all products. Stan also supports 50+ developers in cross-functional teams and has co-authored 3 patent applications in logistics. Prior to that, they were the Head of Data & Analytics at Porterbuddy and built the Advanced Analytics team for Coop Norge, a major retailer in Norway. Stan has also worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Inmeta, leading a team and working on data lake projects and neural network architectures. Earlier in their career, they conducted research as a Ph.D. researcher at NTNU in applied physics, focusing on new materials for solar cells and lasers and utilizing machine learning for predictive modeling. Stan also worked as a Research Assistant at IMEC and the Keldysh Research Center, and completed a summer internship at Jülich Research Centre.

Stan Polyakov, Ph.D. began their education in 2005 at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) where they pursued a B.Sc. with honors in Applied Mathematics and Physics. Stan successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2009.

In 2012, Stan Polyakov continued their academic journey at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). During their time at NTNU, they focused on applied physics and worked towards earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree. The pursuit of their Ph.D. lasted until 2017, marking the completion of their doctoral studies.
