Dirk Lienemann

Dirk Lienemann, CFA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in private equity and private debt investments. Dirk began their career as an Analyst at Arthur Andersen in 2001 and later worked as an Associate and Senior Associate at EY from 2002 to 2005. Lienemann then served as a Senior Associate at Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. Corporate Finance (Schweiz) AG in 2005.

In 2006, Lienemann joined SCM Strategic Capital Management AG, where they held various roles including Vice President of Private Market Investments and Head of Private Equity. In these positions, they performed due diligence, selected fund managers, executed secondary transactions, conducted research, and sourced new relationships with fund managers. Lienemann also served as a key member of the Investment Committee and various Advisory Boards for funds in North America, Europe, and Russia.

In 2015, Lienemann joined Mercer as the Head of Private Equity Europe, leading the European Private Equity Team and serving as a member of the Investment Committee and Mercer Private Markets' Leadership Team. Dirk played a crucial role in overseeing private equity and private debt investments and was responsible for business development in Europe.

Currently, Lienemann is working as the Managing Director and Co-Head of Europe at Portfolio Advisors, LLC. In this role, they focus on European private equity and private debt investments, as well as EMEA business development.

Additionally, Dirk Lienemann has obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute in October 2004.
