Digital Design Intern at Portland Trail Blazers

Michelle Chau has a diverse work experience in the field of respiratory therapy and design. Michelle started their career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at UHS in 2014. Michelle then worked at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC) from 2016 to 2020 in the same role. In 2020, they also worked as a Travel Respiratory Therapist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Banner Health. Michelle continued their respiratory therapy career as a Contract Respiratory Therapist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from July 2020 to March 2021. Michelle then became a Contractor Respiratory Therapist for the United States Air Force from May 2021 to December 2021, providing their expertise to active-duty members. In 2022, Michelle worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Oregon Health & Science University.

In 2023, Michelle transitioned their career to the field of design, starting as a UX Design Fellow at General Assembly from January to April. Currently, they are a Digital Design Intern at the Portland Trail Blazers @ the Rose Quarter.

Michelle Chau obtained a Certification of Completion from General Assembly in the year 2023. In addition to their certification from General Assembly, they also hold a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), which they obtained in November 2013. Michelle Chau also participated in the Women's Build Event as a volunteer for 48in48 in April 2023.
