James Neel

James Neel is an accomplished technical manager with extensive experience in the ceramics industry. Currently serving as Ceramic Technical Manager at Portobello America since April 2022, James previously held the position of Technical Director at American Wonder Porcelain, where responsibilities included manufacturing plant startup, production equipment commissioning, and ANSI/ASTM technical committee work. James has a solid background in safety management, quality assurance, and testing, with significant roles at Daltile, including Safety Manager, Testing Manager, and Six Sigma Engineer. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, James achieved remarkable improvements in laboratory efficiency and cost reductions. James holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University.
