Aswini Paramasivam

Aswini Paramasivam has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and machine learning. They currently hold the position of Lead in Data Engineering and Machine Learning at Pos Malaysia Berhad since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Philip Morris International from January 2021 to May 2022, where their responsibilities included setting up data pipelines and ingesting market data into an AWS data lake.

Before their role at Philip Morris International, Aswini worked at AirAsia as an Assistant Manager in Data Engineering from June 2020 to December 2020. They also held the position of Data Engineer II at AirAsia from April 2018 to May 2020.

Their career started at Manulife Technology & Services Sdn Bhd in June 2015, where they served as a Software Engineer for the John Hancock Investments unit. Later, Aswini transitioned to Cognizant and worked as a Programmer Analyst from May 2017 to April 2018, continuing to serve the same unit.

Throughout their career, Aswini has gained proficiency in various tools and languages, including Informatica Powercenter, Informatica Data Quality, SSIS, Microsoft SQL Server, CA Workload, SQL, and UNIX Shell Scripting.

Aswini Paramasivam completed their Master of Data Science from the University of Malaya between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Software Engineering from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) from 2012 to 2015. Their education journey began with earning Cambridge A Levels from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology between 2010 and 2012. They also obtained additional certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2021 and FLMI Level I: Insurance Fundamentals from LOMA in 2015.
