Ying Zhao

Ying Zhao has a strong background in research and scientific roles, starting as a Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2009. Ying then moved on to work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, San Diego from 2016 to 2021. Following this, Ying worked as a Scientist at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. from August 2021 to June 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Scientist at Poseida Therapeutics, Inc. since June 2022, before being promoted to Principal Scientist in February 2024.

Ying Zhao earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2009. Ying then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder, completing their studies in 2015. In 2016, Ying obtained a MicroMBA certification from the University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management, and in 2023, they obtained a certification in "from the Laboratory to Leadership" from The Leadership Edge.
