Vincent Liu has a wealth of experience in the software engineering and automation fields. Vincent began their career in 2006 as a Research Assistant and Master's Researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2008, they co-founded MoMelan, Inc., where they led engineering efforts for a novel surgical device. In 2009, they worked as a Business Development Consultant for Salud del Sol, Inc., where they identified potential customer segments and developed a business plan. In 2014, they returned to MIT as a Postdoctoral Associate, where they created an automated, high throughput screening tool for detecting changes in metabolic activities in cells. In 2016, they joined Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. as an Automation Engineer III and Automation Engineer, where they co-led, built, and deployed a database driven sample handling program. In 2019, they joined Celect, Inc. as a Software Engineer, before being acquired by Nike, where they worked as a Lead Software Engineer and developed and updated internal tooling used for daily data ingestion. Currently, they are a Software Engineering Manager at Posh Technologies.
Vincent Liu has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley.
