Senior Engineering Manager at Possible Finance

Randy Marquez has worked in the software engineering industry since 2003. Randy started their career as a Software Engineer at Digital Insight, followed by a role as Co-Founder and Software Engineer at Siperian, Inc. Randy then moved to ORBITZ as a Senior Software Engineer before joining IMC Financial Markets as a Senior Software Engineer in 2008. In 2010, they joined Firm58 as a Senior Software Engineer and was part of the Series C funding. In 2014, they moved to Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Staff Software Engineer and then a Software Engineering Manager. In 2020, they joined Varo Bank as a Senior Engineering Manager, where they provided continuous coaching, mentoring, and encouragement to their team of eight backend engineers. Randy also led a squad of ten engineers to launch the flagship credit rails product, Varo Believe, and a squad of seven engineers to launch the flagship lending product, Varo Advance. In 2022, they joined Possible as a Senior Engineering Manager.

Randy Marquez obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Math Applied Science with a Specialization in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Additionally, Marquez has obtained four certifications from Coursera: Kotlin for Java Developers (May 2020), R Programming (July 2015), Principles of Reactive Programming (April 2015), and Functional Programming Principles in Scala (December 2014).
