Scott Simmons has over 17 years of experience in recruiting, staffing, and talent acquisition. Scott began their career in 2002 as a Contract Recruiter at Apple, where they were responsible for supporting two divisions by helping them fill their positions. In 2003, they took a role as a Recruiting Consultant at Covigna, where they consulted with the CEO on staffing plans and implementation of these plans on a part-time basis. Scott then took a role as a Recruiter at Symantec, where they filled many positions and several difficult to find people. After that, they became a Recruiting Lead at Amazon.com, where they were hired to help fix and implement the 'event staffing model'. In 2005, they started at Microsoft as a Staffing Lead, where they researched the UX staffing difficulties and built a cross-functional and department leadership group to solve the staffing issues across the company. Scott then moved to Groupon as a Sr. Staffing Lead in 2012, followed by a role as a Talent Acquisition Lead at Axon in 2016. Here, they lead the software talent acquisition efforts for the Seattle, Scottsdale, and Vietnam locations. Finally, in 2019, they took a role as a Senior Staffing Manager at Possible Finance, where they built the recruiting process to staff the company from 15 to 100+, handled all recruiting operations, created and presented the interviewer guidelines, hired and lead the recruiting team, measured the team's performance and optimized for improvement, created the "Snapshot" performance review process, set up the early employee benefits, compensation, and 401K plans, and earned their SHRM Certification.

Scott Simmons attended Cupertino High School from 1977 to 1981. In 2007, they attended Everett Community College, where they studied Business Administration. In 2020, they obtained a Diversity Recruiting certification from LinkedIn, and a SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM.
