Tim Yu has had a diverse work experience. Tim started out as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UCLA in 2013, followed by a Program Manager role at Expedia in 2014. In 2013, they also had a Product Manager role at NeuroSky, where they created a product concept, defined product requirements, roadmap, and GTMS. Tim also designed UX via flowcharts, wireframes, and mockups. In 2015, they were the Co-Director of Sponsorship for Global Hackathon Seoul. From 2016 to 2020, they were the CEO, Head of Product, and Co-founder of Pluto Money, where they pioneered mobile banking for Gen Z college students. In 2021, they became a Member of Board of Directors and Product Advisor at Electric Potential. Tim is currently a Senior Product Manager at Possible, a Series B startup bringing financial fairness to underserved communities.
Tim Yu attended the University of California, Los Angeles from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a B.S. in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Computing and Entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they attended Cupertino High School from 2007 to 2011 and earned a High School Diploma.
