Andrea Garcia

Andrea Garcia has a strong background in renewable energy and project management. Andrea is currently working at Potentia Renewables Inc. as the Vice President of Development and Origination. Prior to this role, they were the Assistant Vice President of Project Development at the same company. Andrea also served as the Director of Business Development from 2018 to 2021 at Potentia Renewables Inc.

Before joining Potentia Renewables Inc., Andrea worked at BluEarth Renewables Inc. as a Project Manager from 2016 to 2018. Andrea was responsible for managing and overseeing projects in the renewable energy sector.

Andrea also has experience working at NextEra Energy Resources. Andrea served as a Project Manager and was involved in the development of renewable energy projects from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Environmental Specialist from 2012 to 2015, where they contributed to environmental assessments and compliance for energy projects.

In addition, Andrea has experience outside of the renewable energy industry. Andrea worked as the Director of Operations at Cycle Toronto from 2010 to 2012, where they were responsible for managing the organization's operations.

Andrea Garcia completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Environmental Science from the University of Florida between 2004 and 2008. After that, they pursued a Master of Science in Planning at the University of Toronto from 2008 to 2010.

In terms of additional certifications, Andrea obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2019. Andrea also achieved the Registered Professional Planner designation from the Ontario Professional Planners Institute in June 2015.
