Hashmat Rahin, P.Eng.

Hashmat Rahin, P.Eng. has extensive work experience in engineering and project management roles in the renewable energy industry. Hashmat served as the Director of Engineering at Potentia Renewables Inc., where they provided leadership and subject-matter expertise for the execution of renewable energy projects. Hashmat managed internal and external engineering teams, supervised EPC contractors and equipment vendors, and developed technical standards and specifications. Prior to this, they worked as an Engineering Project Manager at the same company, overseeing the project and engineering management of rooftop and ground mount solar PV projects. Hashmat was responsible for utility coordination, design review, commissioning, and stakeholder management.

Before joining Potentia Renewables Inc., Rahin worked as a Technical Services Manager at Canadian Solar Inc., where they provided technical support and managed services. Hashmat also gained experience as a Jr. Design Engineer at EEnergy Inc. and as an Asset Management- Protection and Control professional at Hydro One.

Hashmat Rahin, P.Eng. completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Ryerson University in the years 2004 to 2009. Additionally, they pursued a minor degree in Management Sciences and Quantitative Methods from the same institution, from 2005 to 2008.
