Alyssa Adcock, PhD, is a Research Fellow at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies since July 2019, managing multiple contracts supporting NASA and the United States Space Force. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Education Advisory Board Member and Graduate Student Symposium Planning Committee Coordinator for the American Chemical Society from April 2018 to April 2020, and working as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Georgetown University from September 2014 to July 2019. Earlier roles include an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Jacobs University Bremen from April 2013 to May 2014 and a Summer Intern at the Carnegie Institution for Science in 2013. Alyssa's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Georgetown University and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Jacobs University Bremen.

The Potomac Institute for Policy Studies is an independent, 501(c)(3), not-for-profit public policy research institute. The Institute identifies and aggressively shepherds discussion on key science, technology, and national security issues facing our society. From these discussions and forums, we develop meaningful policy options and ensure their implementation at the intersection of business and government. The Institute’s current endeavors have required the formation of special efforts in: Terrorism and asymmetry; Emerging threats and opportunities; National health policies; Science and technology forecasting; and National security.
