Jannes Breier

Jannes Breier is a skilled computational scientist with a robust background in agricultural management and climate research. Currently at PIK - Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research since August 2021, Jannes focuses on enhancing models and developing interfaces for simulating biosphere and anthroposphere interactions. Previously, Jannes served as a research software engineer at GFZ-Potsdam, where development of an online platform for scientific data management occurred, utilizing Python web frameworks and SQLAlchemy. Additionally, experience at Leibniz-Institut für Agrartechnik und Bioökonomie involved creating modular modeling architectures in Python for bioeconomic production systems. Prior work at PIK included data analysis and visualization of global datasets within climate research. Jannes holds a Master of Science in Geoecology from the University of Potsdam, completed in 2018.
