Sophia Chiara Weituschat, PhD, is a dedicated researcher currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research since June 2022. With a strong background in sustainable agriculture, Sophia completed a PhD at Wageningen University & Research, focusing on crop diversification and value chain organization. Previous experience includes consultancy and intern roles at KPMG Nederland, where involvement included sustainability projects related to impact evaluations in supply chains. Additional research positions spanned various projects at Wageningen UR, tackling areas such as contract farming impacts, rural household evaluation, and cocoa certification costs. Sophia holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Development Economics and International Development from Wageningen University & Research.
