We're seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team in Celje, Ljubljana, Maribor, Prishtina, or Sarajevo.

We are here to create solutions with clean and high-quality code. Frontend engineers at Povio tackled many interesting problems like:

• Playing a high-quality interactive video dialogue without buffering or interruptions in mobile browsers, and setting up the infrastructure behind it;
• Updating a map with massive data without blocking the GUI layer;
• Building a web-based presentation recorder with the ability to instantly and seamlessly edit the presentation;
• Building a chat, a kanban board and a rich text editor.

Job tasks include

• Building React-based applications using the currently best available tooling that suits your project (NextJS, React Query, Typescript...);
• Ensuring performance, quality and responsiveness of applications;
• Coordinate project development with client's timeline;
• Discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to facilitate your development process;
• Continually discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

What we would like to see

• 6+ years of experience in web development, of which 3 years with JavaScript-based tech;
• Excellent knowledge of SPA building patterns and front-end security, familiarity with OWASP top 10;
• Modern knowledge of front-end performance optimization (reduced render times, smooth animations, target 60fps);
• Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS;
• Adaptability and proficiency in tool usage.
• Interest in staying up-to-date with the latest web development trends;
• Great communication and team management skills;
• A humble attitude with a team-first mindset.

You will be working alongside other engineers who cover different layers of the infrastructure. This gives you the option to openly debate and collaborate in solving problems to deliver a quality final product.
