Kyle Smith

Kyle Smith has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Kyle started their career at Randalls as a Customer Service Manager, where they supervised employees, coordinated sales promotions, and managed daily transactions. Kyle then transitioned to CenterPoint Energy, where they held roles such as System Support Analyst and Distribution Gas Controller III. In these positions, they provided support for gas control systems, performed system maintenance, and communicated gas facility information to field operations. Prior to CenterPoint Energy, Kyle worked at Accel Technologies as a Technical Support and Analyst, where they conducted hardware and software testing, configuration, and installation, as well as delivered desktop training. At Enbridge, Kyle served as an ICS Engineer III, responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining the SCADA system, troubleshooting issues, and implementing control strategies. Most recently, they joined Powell as a Lead Control Systems Designer, specializing in relay configuration, SCADA system design, and industrial communication protocols.

Kyle Smith attended Clear Brook High School from 1998 to 2002. Kyle then pursued a degree in Control Systems Engineering at the University of Houston-Downtown starting in 2021. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in various programming areas, including ClearSCADA, WonderWare, and AutoSol, between 2006 and 2011.
