Balder received his PhD in 2022 at Durham university, where he worked improving the lifetime of organic photovoltaics (OPVs) and assessed the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) of emerging photovoltaics.
Before coming to the UK, Balder worked for Caterpillar Inc. in Mexico for four years, gaining experience in manufacturing, supply chain and quality assurance roles.
