Martin Aares

Martin Aares is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in the sustainable and clean energy sectors. Currently serving as Managing Partner at Power Sustainable since 2024, Martin co-heads the decarb private equity group. Previous roles include Managing Director at Closed Loop Partners, where Martin led a diverse investment division focused on the circular economy, and co-founding Novus Energy Partners, a growth capital firm for clean energy. Additional investment experience encompasses board roles at ERI, Apkudo, Balcones Resources, and others, showcasing a robust track record in venture capital, growth equity, and environmental services. Martin holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
