Tom Furniss

Tom Furniss has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Tom is currently serving as the Head of Information Technology at PRA Group. Prior to this, they held the role of Head of Technology Control at Virgin Money from July 2022 to January 2024 and was also the Senior Manager for Core & Data, IT Operations from February 2019 to July 2022. Before joining Virgin Money, Tom worked at IBM in various roles, including Cloud Consulting Practice Manager, Cloud Services Engagement Manager, Analytics Sales Leader, and IT Service Management Principal Consultant. Tom started their career at IBM in 2000 as an IT Specialist and progressed through different positions until 2019.

Tom Furniss has a diverse education history. Tom obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Brewing & Distilling from Heriot-Watt University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School from 2011 to 2014. In 1999, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Studies at Sheffield Hallam University. Tom'sundergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy, was obtained from The University of Bolton from 1996 to 1999. Additionally, Tom Furniss obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute UK Chapter in March 2008.
