Treena Girodo Lauer

Treena Girodo Lauer, CPA has a wealth of experience in various finance and accounting roles. Treena began their career in 1997 as the Manager of Finance & Administration at New World Associates, Inc. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as a Staff Accountant at North County Times. In 2005, Treena joined EYA as an Assistant Controller, where they were responsible for managing financial activities related to townhouse communities.

In 2007, Treena moved to Rosetta Stone, where they held several roles, including Sr. Accountant, Accounting Manager, International Accounting Manager, and Director of International Accounting. In these positions, they oversaw accounting operations in multiple countries, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local statutory and tax regulations. Treena also mentored local controllers and developed efficient procedures and controls.

In 2015, Treena joined PRA Group as the Director of International Accounting and later became the Director of Operational Accounting. Treena then served as the Vice President of Global Operational Controller before assuming their current role as Senior Vice President, Controller. In these roles, they have had oversight for various accounting functions, including monthly close, general ledger activities, and tax provision/reporting. Treena has also been responsible for implementing new accounting standards and leading merger and acquisition activity. Additionally, Treena has led the implementation of an Oracle ERP and FCC system, streamlining accounting processes and promoting global simplification.

Outside of their finance career, Treena has also served as an Executive Board Member for Symphonicity, the Symphony Orchestra of Virginia Beach, since 2023.

Treena Girodo Lauer, CPA received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, Finance, and Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder in the years 1990-1994. Treena acquired two additional certifications, including the Chartered Global Management Accountant from the AICPA in 2014 and the Certified Public Accountant from the AICPA in 2013.
