We are currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our  team in our Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois headquarters. As an HR Generalist you will be responsible for a wide range of Human Resources activities, including but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting, screening, and interviewing candidates for open positions; collaborating with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for each opening.

  • Coordinating onboarding and offboarding of team members; including scheduled check-ins and exit interviews.

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures while displaying a high level of business acumen and discretion.

  • Facilitating performance evaluation processes, providing guidance to managers on performance-related issues, and recommending steps to improvement.

  • Administering the employee benefit program, coordinating open enrollment, answering employee inquiries and coordinating with providers as needed.

  • Maintaining accurate employee records in various HR databases and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant federal, state and local regulations and internal policies.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
  • Five years of HR generalist experience working in a multi-location professional services environment; three years of experience sourcing and recruiting within the financial services industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with employees; demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefit offerings.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems, HR technologies Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills and the ability to develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
