Peter Norwood

Peter Norwood is the current Chief Product Officer at Pratexo. Prior to their current position, they were the Austin Site Lead & Director of Engineering at Google from May 2014 to September 2021. Peter was responsible for the leadership and growth of Google's site in Austin, TX. Norwood led efforts in Corporate Engineering to build internal enterprise applications to help manage the explosive growth that Google is experiencing. Peter also previously led the Austin based team responsible for designing, building and rapidly updating Android's middleware software layer - Google Play Services - to billions of Android devices around the world. Prior to their time at Google, Norwood was the COO at Adometry from January 2007 to May 2014. Peter was also Sr. Site Executive at Symantec from January 2006 to December 2007 and Venture Partner at TL Ventures from January 1999 to December 2001. Norwood has also served as an Angel Investor & Advisor at NetSpend from January 1997 to December 2000 and as SVP Products & Services at WholeSecurity from January 2001 to December 2006.

Peter Norwood received their M.S. in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin. Peter also has degrees in Electrical Engineering and Bio-Medical Engineering.
