Abiy Eshetu

Abiy Eshetu has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Currently, Abiy is serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Pratt & Whitney since 2022. Previously, they worked as an Industrial Manager at Pratt & Whitney from 2016 to 2021. Before that, Abiy held the position of Director of Product Engineering at DSA Detection from 2011 to 2016. Abiy also served as the Director of Research & Development at Titeflex Corporation-Titeflex Aerospace from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they worked at Collins Aerospace as a Staff Engineer and later as a Project Engineer from 2002 to 2008. Abiy's earlier work experience includes roles as a Project Engineer, Design Engineer, and Manufacturing/Process Engineer at Eaton Corp-Aeroquip Group from 1995 to 2001. Abiy holds an MBA, MS, and PMP certification.

Abiy Eshetu has a diverse education background. Abiy began their educational journey at The University of Toledo from 1992 to 1995, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering. In 2004, they pursued postgraduate studies at Rensselaer at Work, where they obtained an MBA with a focus on General Management.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Abiy Eshetu joined Boston University in 2017 and completed their Master of Science (MS) in Suppy Chain Management - Logistics in 2018. Their studies at Boston University further refined their expertise in the field of logistics and supply chain management.

Further advancing their professional qualifications, Abiy Eshetu obtained additional certifications. In 2015, they earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. This certification demonstrates their competence and skills in project management. Additionally, in 2020, they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Central Connecticut State University, which signifies their mastery in quality improvement methodologies.

Currently, Abiy Eshetu is pursuing their doctoral studies in Business Administration at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Abiy has been enrolled in the doctoral program since 2023 and is expected to complete their studies in 2027. Through this program, they aim to further expand their knowledge and contribute to the field of business administration.
