Stan Smith

Stan Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Stan started their career in 1993 as a Sr. R&D Manager at Komag and worked there until 1999. Stan then joined Cabot Microelectronics as a Development Manager from 1999 to 2002. After that, they worked at Texas Instruments as a Member of Technical Staff in Silicon Technology Development from 2003 to 2007. Stan then joined Praxair and held the positions of Sr. Program Development Manager from 2007 to 2010 and Director of Electronics and Specialty Gases R&D from 2010 to the present. In 2018, they joined Linde as the Sr. Director of Electronics and Digital Applications R&D.

Stan Smith completed their education at North Carolina State University. Stan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from 1982 to 1986. Stan then pursued a Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from 1986 to 1988. Finally, they earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from 1988 to 1993.
