Ryan Thompson

Ryan Thompson is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in strategy development and implementation across various sectors. Currently serving as the Communications Director at GlobalPreferred by Nature since May 2025, Ryan also produces and hosts the Apotheosis Podcast, exploring insights from diverse traditions and modern science. Previously, Ryan was a Founding Member at Sidebar, engaging in peer coaching and moderating discussions to enhance leadership among podcasters. As Deputy Chief of Party and Communications Director for USAID ACE at DAI, Ryan led comprehensive communications strategies for significant portfolios, notably supporting 11 USAID operating units. Ryan's earlier roles include Communications Team Manager for the Accountability Framework initiative at Rainforest Alliance and various leadership positions in communications and knowledge management for USAID. Ryan holds a Master of Science in Environmental Conservation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida.
