Alex Murphy has a diverse work experience in the field of sports writing and reporting. Starting in 2016, they worked as a Recruitment Writer for The Left Bench until March 2018. From August 2016 to February 2020, they were a Beat Writer for Testudo Times. In May 2018, they briefly interned with Temple University Football. From December 2019 to May 2020, they served as a Wrestling Beat Writer and Terps Watch Writer for The Diamondback. Alex then became a Freelance Sports Writer for Severna Park Voice and Pasadena Voice from October 2020 to June 2021. In August 2020, they co-founded Rays The Roof Network and served as a Co-Founder/Co-Host. Alex then worked as a Head Writer/Social Media Manager for Prep Network from August 2020 onwards. In January 2021, they became a Sports Writer for The Baltimore Sun. Alex also started working as a Freelance Writer for Newspaper Media Group in December 2021. Finally, in August 2022, they joined The Commercial Dispatch as a High School/College Sports Reporter.
From 2016 to 2020, Alex Murphy attended the University of Maryland, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.
