Max Basaraba

CEO at Prepler

Max Basaraba has an extensive work experience in the tech industry. In 2021, they joined FITNELLO as a Board Member & Acting CTO, where they hired and managed the team to build the technology behind the Women's Fitness platform. In 2019, they became the CEO of Prepler, a Degree Pathway Automation Tool based on AI and machine learning. In the same year, they also became an Investor and Board Member of a Healthcare Platform in Stealth Mode, helping to build a core team. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at Chegg Inc. and Bookstep (acquired by Chegg), where they held the roles of Director of Engineering, Founder & CEO, and Co-Founder respectively. In 2012, they worked at Rafter, Inc. as a Program Leader, and in 2011, they were a Product Executive at BookRenter. In 2022, they founded Ukraine Org, a volunteer organization that has boots on the ground on both sides of the Ukraine-Poland border.

Max Basaraba attended American River College from 2001 to 2004, earning an Econ. Major with a transfer to UC Davis. From 2004 to 2006, they studied International Relations: World Trade and Business Development at the University of California, Davis.
