David Ferguson

David Ferguson is a Board Member at Opera Philadelphia since December 2022 and serves as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for the National Trust for Historic Preservation starting August 2022. Previously, Ferguson was an Executive Recruiter at Isaacson, Miller from July 2017 to September 2020, where responsibilities included conducting executive leadership searches for civic sector clients, particularly in higher education and the arts. Ferguson's experience also includes serving as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Chicago from September 2010 to June 2017, managing logistics and marketing for major academic events, and coordinating a workshop on race and racial ideologies during tenure at the Council on Advanced Studies at the University of Chicago from September 2005 to June 2008. Ferguson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Florida State University and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Chicago.
