James Harris

Director, Science and Technology at Presidio Medical, Inc.

James Harris has extensive work experience in various roles in the fields of science, technology, and engineering. James started their career as a Circuit Designer and Member of Technical Staff-Level 2 at Sun Microsystems in 2000, where they worked until 2004. James then served as a Teaching Assistant at Brown/CWRU from 1999 to 2008 while pursuing their Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, which they completed in 2012. During their time at Case Western Reserve University, they also worked as a Research Associate at Media Lab Europe in 2004. After completing their Ph.D., James joined Bay Computer Associates as a Senior Electrical Engineer in 2012. In 2013, they became a Marketing Associate at the Penn Center for Innovation at the University of Pennsylvania, where they also held the role of Postdoctoral Fellow in Neurosurgery until 2015. James then worked as a Senior Neural Engineer/Scientist at i_SW from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, James joined Inscopix, Inc. as a Senior Program Manager until 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Science and Technology at Presidio Medical, Inc. starting in 2018. Additionally, James co-founded and served as a board member for the Brite Winter Festival from 2009 to 2017.

James Harris holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, which they earned from Case Western Reserve University between 2005 and 2011. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering at Brown University, where they attended from 1996 to 2001.
