Mia Gifford

Mia Gifford has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2011 with a Clinical Internship at the Swedish Hospital Sleep Medicine Clinic. During their time there, they worked directly under the head technician to analyze raw physiological data into comprehensive reports used for diagnosis by physicians. Mia quickly advanced to analytical training after one summer of clerical work, received HIPAA Compliance Certification, and then their internship was extended indefinitely.

In 2015, Gifford worked as an NGO Program Coordinator for Yellitaire, where they developed and composed a comprehensive concept note for a project concerning the prevention of genocide of persons with albinism in Africa. Her responsibilities also included establishing and coordinating partnerships and applying for grants.

In 2016, Gifford worked as a Clinical Fellowship for the Swedish Urology Group, where they worked closely with James Porter, MD, urologist and executive director of the Swedish Health System Robotics Institute. Her responsibilities included data extraction and management from diverse sources for several clinical trials for research purposes utilizing databases, Epic software, and direct patient follow-up interviews.

In 2017, Gifford worked at Suja Juice as a Field Marketing, where they organized and executed event coordination to promote the Suja brand and increase customer exposure. Mia also gathered, compiled, and analyzed marketing data to inform stakeholders. Additionally, Gifford worked at the Yassine Lab, University of Southern California, as an Alzheimer's and Diabetes Research Assistant. Her responsibilities included molecular biology and biochemistry research, specifically on ABCA1-mediated cellular cholesterol efflux and ApoE isoforms. Mia also had experience with lab techniques including cell culture, spectrophotometry, ELISA, gel electrophoresis, native PAGE and more. Mia performed original research and was accepted to research symposiums for two poster presentations.

Finally, in 2018, Gifford worked at PrettyLitter, first as an Executive Assistant to the CEO, and then as Chief Of Staff.

Mia Gifford graduated from the University of Southern California in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and Health Care Studies.
