Simon Giroux

Simon Giroux has a diverse work experience in the field of medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical research. Simon is currently working as the Vice President of Chemistry at Pretzel Therapeutics, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to their current role, they worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals for over a decade, starting as a Research Scientist I in January 2009 and progressing to Senior Director of Medicinal Chemistry by August 2021. During their tenure at Vertex, they also held the positions of Director of Medicinal Chemistry and Associate Director of Medicinal Chemistry. Before joining Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Simon Giroux worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University from 2006 to 2008. Overall, they have demonstrated consistent growth and expertise in the field of medicinal chemistry throughout their professional career.

Simon Giroux pursued their education in Organic Chemistry, starting with their Ph.D. program at Université de Montréal from 2001 to 2006. Simon then went on to attend Harvard University as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow in the field of Organic Chemistry from 2007 to 2008.
