Björn Hegstam

Björn Hegstam has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Björn is currently working at PriceRunner - A Klarna Group Company as a Senior Engineer and previously held the position of Software Developer. Prior to this, Björn worked at ASSA ABLOY AB as a Software Developer for four years, contributing to the development and operations of the cloud-based guest access services. Björn also worked at Lumera (formerly Itello AB) as a Software Developer, collaborating with multiple teams on the business system Inca. Additionally, Björn has experience as a Consultant at Bravura Sverige AB, a Master's thesis student at OptoNova AB, and a Teacher at Individuell Kunskapsutveckling. Björn also worked as a Computer lab instructor at KTH, where they assisted students with problem-solving and developed their ability to explain concepts. Björn started their career as a 3D-Illustrator at GE Healthcare, where they created illustrations using CAD software.

Björn Hegstam received their M.Sc.Eng in Engineering Physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they attended from 2008 to 2013. In 2011 and 2012, they also briefly studied at Technische Universität Wien. Prior to that, they attended IT-Gymnasiet Uppsala from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, in September 2013, they obtained the certification for "Functional Programming Principles in Scala," from Coursera.
